Loved seeing Cryptid Summer open for Messa at Comet Ping Pong! Had no idea we had a delectable gothy post punk band in our local cards. I loved the driving drums, the mournful, yearning, and yet biting-twangy guitars, the embittered vocals; all staples of excellent sad post punk. But above all, I really dug the highly active, colorful, and melodic bass lines; they really had my head bopping the whole time. Hey from Arlington and I hope to see you all again soon!
